How to Broadcast on bandNada

How do I get started Live-streaming on bandNada?

There are three ways to stream on bandNada:

  1. From your Laptop

Just login and click Go Live. Click the Start Test Stream button to test your setup. Make sure bandNada has permission from your browser to access your computer's camera and microphone.

You can select custom video and audio inputs under Settings, on the Go Live page below the video. When you're ready, click the Start Show button to start your public livestream.

  2. From your Phone

Login, and click Go Live in the mobile menu. You'll then see directions for downloading a free 3rd party broadcasting app and how to set it up (it takes a couple of minutes to set it up the first time).

  3. Using RTMP (OBS) - broadcasting software

If you are a veteran streamer, you can stream from external software like OBS using RTMP. Just click Go Live, switch Streaming Mode to External RTMP and we'll provide you with RTMP information to Go Live.

How do I alert my followers that I've gone live?

We'll do it for you!

bandNada will automatically email your followers when you make your livestream public.

How do I get tips?

In order to recieve tips, you first need to set up your Stripe account. First, go to your Band Dashboard page. The link to set up Stripe is under the Payouts section. This section also shows a record of tips recieved and payouts.

When an artist recieves a tip, 80% goes directly to the artist (yay!) and 20% goes to bandNada, to cover credit card fees and keep the platform running.
